Contemplative Spoken Word Meditations are the beautiful ways in which I share loving thoughts and sacred wisdom with you as you experience the bountiful nature of meditation.

Allow the words to wash over you.  Contemplate their meaning and importance in your life.

Join me as you become comfortable in a posture where you are seated or lying and in stillness.  You may begin with attention directed inward on your breath with your eyes closed.  Notice the gentle expansion in your chest and belly as you breathe.

Some first questions to contemplate.  Let  your answers readily rise up to meet you…

When you first awaken, what thoughts do you hold?

What are the ways that you lead your day?

Do you lead with your heart or do your thoughts get in the way?

When you first open your eyes as you wake, practice feeling with your heart – first.

Before you jump into the thoughts of your day, feel how you feel in your body.  This is an awakened choice.  It must be a conscious and deliberate choice.  You may always choose to return to how you feel if you are overcome with the thoughts of your mind.

Lead With Your Heart.  Let this be how you live all of your life.

You can lie in bed at night, preparing for sleep – and yet worrying about problems of the day, or you can practice being in the present moment ~ witnessing your breath or the movement in your belly as you breathe.

You can listen to music and allow yourself to feel what is being stirred within you by the words and melody of what songs you enjoy ~ or you can listen to music and be preoccupied with whatever tasks or activities you are multitasking.

When you lead with your heart, you are making a conscious choice of how you will live this moment.

In each moment there is always a choice.

Whenever you are unhappy, discouraged, suffering – remember to ask, “Am I leading my life with my heart at this moment?”

In each moment there is always a choice. @dorothyzennuriyejuno 2022-09-08 (image of dorothy)

Your answer will likely prompt you to make a choice for how you live in the next moment.

Your choice directs you mindset.  Your mindset is your attitude and perceptions.  This affects how you witness the present moment.

When you first wake, if you allow your attention to be on the thoughts of your mind then you immediately move yourself out of the experience of the present moment.

You become distracted by these thoughts and the feelings that arise from them.

For as long as you can when you first awaken, be deliberate in being present ~ in witnessing what you experience as present moment awareness and in allowing yourself to feel the energy of your heart centre.

Focus your attention here unto your heart as you breathe.

Allow yourself to simply be.  Let yourself hear the sounds that you hear whilst focusing on your breathing and feeling the energy of your heart.

If you haven’t already allow yourself to experience this right now.

This is both a calming and gentle way to begin your day; to feel the sensations that rise up within you without judgment.

Remain in the experience of what you feel ~ so deliberately.

Be in the present as you pay attention to your breathing and as you focus on the experience of this moment.

This is how you will be able to hear what sounds you hear, to be aware of your surroundings, and to feel a state of calm in your body.

When you begin to think of the activities of the day and what you need to do, simply notice that your attention has moved away from feeling the energy of your heart.

Notice this and direct your attention back to your heart centre for a little longer.

Notice the expansiveness here as you feel the expression of this energy, simply as you are aware of and attentive to it.  This is how you practice the art of leading with your heart; of being at oneness with your true nature.

Before you choose to mobilize yourself for action with the accelerated pace of your mind as it sifts through more and more thoughts, consider that you can choose to return to your heart centre ~ to focus here for awhile every so often ~ to feel what ‘is’ ~ to lead with how you feel; to be present to this moment.

Learn to let your heart inspire you for goodness, for loving action, and for the many beautiful ways in which you can live in the world.

Practice this as you would any new skill that you wish to make a new part of your life.

Practice this in the morning as you wake.  Feel with your heart.  💜

Let your heart lead in more places in your life.
