Definitions

The “Provider” as referred to herein is recognized to be Dorothy Zennuriye Juno. Psychotherapy sessions from the Provider are herein referred to as “Services” and are also represented site-wide by the following terms: “Lifelines” and “Discovery Session” these are brand names use to describe online therapy, tele-therapy, text-therapy, email therapy and in-person therapy delivered by Dorothy Zennuriye Juno.

Description and use of our Websites

We provide Visitors and Registered Users with access to the Services as described herein. Visitors. Visitors, as the term implies, are individuals who do not register with us, but wish to explore the Websites. No login is required for Visitors. Visitors can: (i) view all publicly-available content on the Websites; engage with forms, quizzes and other interactive content (ii) email or contact us. (iii) share content on third party social media platforms in accordance with community guideline standards of third parties.

Secure Access

Services provided are strictly confidential. NO Personal health information will ever be released without informed, written consent from the Client except where required by law.

With regards to privacy and confidentiality for services delivered digitally and over communication mediums such as Zoom, Skype or Google – It is the Client’s responsibility to select a secure connection and/or a private place for any sessions that are delivered outside of the Provider’s office. 

The Client acknowledges that the use of public Wi-Fi hotspots may not provide optimal security and therefore may also not be considered wholly private. The Client / User acknowledges that Dorothy Zennuriye Juno has no liability with regards to the security of a Client’s internet access. 

Confidentiality 

All personal data collected during your therapy session(s) is kept confidential in accordance with the requirements of current Canadian legislation. Personal information is not disclosed to any other third parties except if specifically requested by yourself or required by law (exceptions in paragraph 1 and 2, below):

1. Dorothy Zennuriye Juno is legally obligated to report to authorities any information that suggests that a child has been, is currently, or will potentially be harmed. Harm can be physical, sexual, emotional, or threatened. Dorothy Zennuriye Juno is also legally required to disclose any information that suggests that a client is a danger to themselves or others. In addition, Dorothy Zennuriye Juno has a legal duty to inform any potential victims, should a client threaten them during a therapy session, any verbal or written correspondence, or other communications.
2. If a client is in litigation, there is a possibility that their therapy file may be subpoenaed.

Other Sharing of Information

If it is decided between the Client and the Provider to share information for reason of referral or consultation, a formal consent form will be completed and signed in advance by the Client. The Client has the right at any time to withhold or revoke consent.  

Circle of Care

In accordance with the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, information may be released to health care providers “Circle of Care” (1) who are directly involved in provision of the Client’s healthcare unless the Client directs the Provider in writing not to release such information. In all other instances, written, informed consent is required for information to be released.
