Awakening occurs in the moments that you are wholly present – to your life as it is, to the presence of this moment – and to acknowledge what is true – the simple truth of what ‘is’.

When we are awake, we are willing to see things as they are; to address what needs our attention; and to open our heart and mind to what is indeed true (accurate) rather than our biased perceptions and the stories we tell our self.

When you awaken, when you hold moments of lucidity and clarity; you see things as they are.  You make choices based on what ‘is’ and this allows you to live your life in the best possible way for what you need; for what is right and best for you – in any given moment.

For most people, the aha moments of realization – of awakening – surface out of quiet reflection and contemplation – and with a desire to dig deeper – to ask the questions that will provoke truth and – to be willing to listen – to trust in the inner knowing that is sensed when the answer arises.

We all have this ability – to be present in our life – to live by our inner guidance and to follow a path that is integral to who we are.  Our unique desires and the way in which we most wish to experience all of life’s beauty is forever possible.  There is never any ‘wrong’ choice whenever you follow your authentic path.  Awakening is the conscious exploration of life lived by your desire (your commitment) to being present; to living fluid – in motion – as opportunities arise, as you make choices relevant to what is most helpful and best for you.

Some helpful suggestions to assist in your awakening …

  • Your heart is a deep source of wisdom; of inner knowing.  Focus on your heart centre as you take conscious breaths.  Be here for a time taking in the fullest; the richness of this moment.  This allows you to hold presence, to be still; to be open to receiving divine wisdom – intuitive guidance for awakening; and for living awakened.  Ask your intuitive wisdom – your inner being – for guidance in moments when you feel anxious, confused, or uncertain.

  • In life, practice being present – in each moment.  Pay attention to what you tell yourself because what you tell yourself, you believe.  Practice listening to your intuitive knowing – your instinct, your inner wisdom by bringing your attention inside yourself, for becoming quiet – and for asking – and listening to what answers you receive.  In the present moment, you are more attentive to ‘what is’ instead of being focused on the constant dialogue of your mind.  Being fully ‘present’ in more moments in your life is what allows you to live awake and self aware.  This is also called mindfulness and present moment awareness.
